Formative experiences leading to where you are now in life

Being a little immigrant baby. Realizing pretty early that I didn’t want to work for someone else. Always being into the visual arts. Realizing how important it is to find work that makes you happy.

What sort of things do you do outside of work?

Take care of my little baby Deco, hang out with my husband, check out cool things in the world and online. Travel extensively. Never settle down. Enjoy friends, good food, art, music, and lazy Sundays.

Hobbies? Interests? Passions?

Screen–printing, photography, film, the visual arts, travel.

Favorite 3 things about San Francisco / Bay Area

1. the People / I know a lot of people doing truly inspired art, design, music, and culinary projects around here. The city has an amazing energy and it makes for a fabulous community to be a part of. People in SF go for it.

2. the Scenery. It is just so nice here.

3. Biking to the Ferry Terminal Faermer’s Market on a warm summer Saturday.

Favorite food in SF

Asian food. Love it.

Favorite day in SF/Bay Area (like a dream day)

Wake up late because it’s Mike turn to get up with the baby.

Make a big breakfast and sit around listening to music and putzing around the house. Go to a barbeque or host one. Sit around with friends and laugh, wearing weird pants. Eat watermelon and some delicious seasonal salads. Take a family walk by the water at Sunset. In the evening leave the baby with family and go get some phenomenal sushi  with Mike, then off for a few drinks with friends. Maybe catch somebody’s art show.

If this is a dream day, I would like to also fit in a Film Noir movie on our home projector, and making some screen–printed posters for art (not for work) while listening to Sabbath, orDevo, or the B52s or something like that. But there’s never enough hours in the day.

What is one thing you wish people paid more attention to?

That not everybody thinks the way you do and that’s okay.

What have you been researching lately?

Digital art online, marketing stuff, NYC and Paris, baby-friendly exotic vacations, screen–printing factories in Poland. Recipes.

Anything you are currently working on or working towards?

Raising my kid, making art, cooking more, chillin‘.
